Messenger Separation: Use specialized tools to separate the non-metallic FRP messenger from the main cable. Avoid scoring the FRP surface to maintain its full tensile strength.
Dielectric Hardware: Since GYXC8Y is an all-dielectric cable, use non-conductive tension clamps and suspension brackets to preserve the system’s anti-lightning properties.
Bending Radius Control: Adhere to a minimum bending radius of 20x the cable diameter. Over-bending can snap the stiff FRP member and damage the central tube fibers.
Safety in Power Areas: Ideal for high-voltage corridors; ensure the cable maintains safe clearance from power lines, though no grounding is required due to its non-metallic nature.
