Messenger Separation: Use professional stripping tools to separate the steel messenger wire without damaging the optical fiber unit or PE jacket.
Tension & Sag: Follow the sag-tension table strictly to prevent messenger wire fatigue or excessive strain on the aerial span.
Hardware Selection: Use dedicated wedge clamps or dead-end grips specifically designed for Figure-8 cables to ensure secure anchoring.
Bending Radius: Keep a minimum bending radius of 20x the cable diameter during installation to protect the steel armor and signal integrity.
