The Tips of GJYPHA Fiber Optic Cable Installation:
Moisture Sealing: While the aluminum tape (APL) provides a barrier, ensure cable ends are sealed with heat-shrink caps during storage to prevent core hydration.
Grounding Protocols: Properly ground the aluminum tape layer at building entry points to ensure safety and prevent interference from electrical surges.
Bending Radius: Adhere to a minimum bend radius of 20x the outer diameter; the aluminum tape adds stiffness, so avoid sharp kinks that could buckle the armor.
Pulling Tension: Apply pulling force to the central FRP strength member. Do not pull the cable by the outer jacket alone to avoid deforming the moisture barrier.
Duct Preparation: Ensure ducts are clear of sharp debris; the APL layer provides protection, but a clean pathway ensures the integrity of the moisture-proof seal.
