The Tips of GDTS Fiber Optic Cable Installation:
Duct Clearance: Ensure the duct is free of debris and sharp edges to prevent scratching the PE jacket during the pulling process.
Tension Monitoring: Use the central strength member for pulling and ensure the tension does not exceed the cable’s rated limit to protect the fibers.
Bending Radius: Maintain a minimum bending radius of 20x the cable diameter during installation and 10x after permanent fixing.
Waterproofing: Apply high-quality waterproof sealant or heat-shrink caps to cable ends immediately after cutting to prevent moisture ingress.
Proper Grounding: Ensure the corrugated steel tape armor is correctly grounded at splice points to protect the network from lightning and electrical surges.
